I have been using Hawk Host for my website hosting since December 23, 2010. Now I feel it’s time to write a Hawk Host Review to share with other webmasters.
People get frustrated when they do business with a host that really sucks. I hope my story can help you find a right one, especially for those who are the first time to buy a web hosting for their blog or business website.
Why and When I Found Hawk Host
Around the beginning of 2010, I signed up an UNLIMITED plan (the so-called unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth and unlimited hosted domains) with a very high ranking company in several hosting review websites. In fact their downtime happened from Day 1, however I thought it may be normal for web hosting. After about 3 months, I had one niche website established and got high ranking on Google. My traffic is growing gradually. Unfortunately, one day their servers was completely crashed for more than 12 hours!
The worst thing is that I found my rankings on Google were disappeared at the night of that day. I searched related information and realized that a reliable web hosting is one of the key factors for a website to be search engine friendly. If your website accessibility has problems, that means bad user experience. Google and other search engines don’t like that. Of course, you will lose money for that.
After days on reading forum discussions, I decided to give HawkHost.com a try. I ordered their standard plan with Hawk Host coupon code for the first year payment. I moved one website to them first, after 2 weeks, all my websites were moved, because everything with them is smooth: GREAT UPTIME and fast technical support for me!
Tips: Don’t believe UNLIMITED plans. That’s a kind of marketing gimmick. Should be careful! Hawk Host offers “unlimited hosted domains”, but no “unlimited disk space” and “unlimited bandwidth”. I think that’s the best solution for most bloggers or small businesses. Don’t worry about bandwidth, because normally our websites can’t have huge amount of visitors everyday. UPTIME is crucial!
Performance Report for One Year
The first thing is about their UPTIME. They guarantee 99.9% UPTIME every month, otherwise we can claim service credit depending on where it falls in on their SLA (service level agreement). According to my own experiences, it’s nearly 100% UPTIME. Fantastic!!!
Technical Support. I did send them a few tickets to ask some questions on my websites, but every time I found that’s my own problem, nothing wrong on their end. They responded not only quickly, but also effectively and friendly. They are professional!!!

Any Negative Feedback?
In order to write a more objective review for them, I recently did some extra research by reading as many forums or websites as possible trying to find any negative feedback. 99.9% feedback is positive, like the one below made by John:
I’ve been a Hawk Host customer since before they were named Hawk Host and they have always given me good reasons to stay. Since the days when it was just Tony running the show, Hawk has grown significantly without sacrificing any of the personal touch that comes from working with a smaller host. Their systems are regularly updated with the latest versions of cPanel and WHM (site and hosting management software).
I’ve honestly been with Hawk for so long that I can’t even remember how many years it has been exactly.

However I did find two complaints from their official profile at Ratepoint.com, as shown below. But as you can see after you read the whole communications, that’s not Hawk Host’s fault.
